Sovereign Order No. 7.115 of 14 September 2018 making enforceable the European Convention on Information on Foreign Law, signed in London on 7 June 1968<\/a><\/p>\n

The purpose of the Convention is \u201cthe creation of a system of international mutual assistance in order to facilitate the task of judicial authorities in obtaining information on foreign law\u201d<\/strong> (Preamble).<\/p>\n

47 Contracting Parties (08\/10\/2018).<\/p>\n

Scope of the Convention <\/strong>(Article 1, paragraph 1):<\/p>\n

The Contracting Parties undertake to supply one another \u201cwith information on their law and procedure in civil and commercial fields as well as on their judicial organisation\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Judicial authority from which the request emanates<\/p>\n

\u2022 Nature of the case<\/p>\n

\u2022 Questions on which information concerning the law of the requested State is desired<\/p>\n
