Thomas BREZZO was admitted to the Monaco Bar in 2016.
Previously, he used to work for several Law Firms, located either in the Principality of Monaco or abroad. In 2010, he created and headed “Monaco Legal Consulting”, a legal consultancy firm in Monaco.
Graduated in private law and criminal sciences, his practice focuses on business law and criminal law.
He is involved in various areas of Monegasque law, with local and international clients, companies and individuals.
In February 2018, he was elected Member of the Monegasque Parliament (Conseil National) and appointed as Chairman of the Legislation Committee. As such, he was Rapporteur of Law No. 1.462 and No. 1.503 reinforcing the Anti-Money Laundering, Financing on Terrorism and Corruption Mechanism (transcribing the (EU) 4th and 5th AML/FT Directives), No. 1.464 strengthening the protection of persons against defamation and insult, No. 1. 418 amending the provisions relating to penalties, No. 1.496 amending Law No. 1.398 of 24 June 2013 relating to the administration and organisation of the judiciary concerning the system of instructions that the Director of Judicial Services may issue to magistrates of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
Likewise, he participates in the work of the Commission for the update of the Monegasque Codes, from which the future reforms of civil and criminal proceedings will be derived.
Thomas BREZZO creates a partnership with Thomas GIACCARDI and joins his firm in January 2019.
